Article Processing Charges (APC) Waiver Policy
The International Journal of Tropical Medicine (IJTM) recognizes that authors may face financial limitations that could affect their ability to publish research. The journal therefore provides a mechanism for authors to request a full or partial waiver of Article Processing Charges (APCs) in cases of genuine financial need.
Authors who wish to request an APC waiver should:
-
Submit the waiver request at the time of manuscript submission.
-
Briefly explain the reason for the request in the cover letter.
-
Provide any relevant information that may assist the editorial office in assessing the request.
Waiver requests are considered independently of the editorial and peer-review process. Requesting or receiving a waiver will not influence the scientific evaluation, peer-review outcome, acceptance, or rejection of a manuscript.
Waivers may be considered for authors who are unable to meet the applicable publication charges due to financial circumstances, including authors from countries or institutions with limited research funding.
Each request is reviewed on a case-by-case basis, and the final decision rests with the journal.
Authors may contact the editorial office through the contact details provided on the journal website.
